荷里活著名編舞家 Michael Kidd 12月23日晚病逝，享年92歲。每次聽到老電影人逝世，都難免有點戚戚然，因為那意味着那個多姿多采的電影時代離我們越來越遠了。
Michael Kidd 最著名的電影應是 Seven Brides for Seven Brothers，但我還是最喜歡 The Band Wagon， Fred Astaire 跟 Cyd Charisse的 Dancing in the Dark自然叫人回味再三，片末的 Girl Hunt亦非常好玩，沒有 Top Hat and Tail的 Fred Astaire叫人眼前一亮。Guys and Dolls較早時也看過，但除了馬龍白蘭度載歌載舞外（他還是當教父較適合），印象不深。除了編舞外，Michael Kidd 也曾參與幕前演出，在 It’s Always Fair Weather 中，他便夥拍舞王 Gene Kelly在紐約街頭把垃圾埇蓋套在腳上起舞。
編舞者要有一顆童心才能把生活一些微不足道的動靜，化成精彩舞步。你我經過街邊一排垃圾桶時，可能都有過邪惡念頭想踢兩腳；下雨看見街道上的水坑，也想過一腳踏進去，濺起水花。歌舞片呈現的就是人人心中都有的小頑童。
